Aborting Buds, Actually Bugs

Leaf Footed Bugs are a serious threat to Dragon Fruit.  98%  of our aborted buds this bloom cycle have been caused by Leaf Footed Bugs who stick their proboscis into the bud and suck the nutrients from the bud.  Observe the yellow bud and the dark brown/black spots.  We are certified organic, so to rid the farm of these we line trim our fields and keep them free and clear of weeds and hand squash the Bugs.
