1) Market Grade Large/XL fruits, Market Grade Mixed Med/L/X, These are fruits we normally send to wholesalers and they retail at Whole Foods, Mother's, Bristol Farms for $12.99/#. Prices range during season $7 to $10/# USDA Certified Organic
2) #2s are Scratch n Dent or "Ugly Fruits". Boxes are priced to the quality and size of the fruit- the cheaper the box the more flaws and the smaller the fruit, in most cases. Flaws can be as little as skin scarring, slight cracking, and misformations. We limit the cracking in each box and the cheaper the box the more cracking may be apparent at the nose cone/tip. Prices range during season $3.50 to $6.50 a pound sold in 20 pound boxes. USDA Certified Organic.
M/L/XL Minor scratch, dents, minor nose cone cracking = $110-$120 /20 pound Box
3) #3 Grade "Cutters". These fruits in theory need to be cut and cut within 12 hours of purchase. Skin bruising, skin flaws, more cracking. Think of these fruits for processing for smoothies and/or freezing, using in big fruit salads etc...but the shelf life is likely limited. This can be the best deal but requires work. Not for the faint of heart and not appropriate for gifting. Prices range during the season $1.50-$3.50/#. USDA Certified Organic
Varieties will be a mix of magenta flesh and will likely be a majority of Physical Graffiti mixed with varieties that may include Purple Haze, Hayley's, Dark Star, Robles Red, Lisa, and possibly some others. PICK UP ONLY Bonsall CA. These are 'mixed varieties, mostly Robles, PG, Lisa, and some other magentas and possibly a few Bien Hoa whites mixed in.
Ordering will be available online for pickup Up Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday between 10 and 12 Noon with a specifically arranged pick-up appointment- A farmer will contact you within 24 hours of your order to arrange pick-up. Each Box Contains 20 pounds of premium Dragon Fruits. Unless specified by the variety in the listing above, fruit flesh colors may be mixed: Magenta, Pink, Red, and/or White; the majority of our fruit is Magenta/Pink so 75% of your box will have sweet full-bodied fruits. 100% USDA Certified Organic and CDFA Registered Organic.
